Franc is Program Director at Sacred Heart University, the Editor of the International Journal of Play Therapy, and an editorial board member for the Journal of Creativity in Mental Health and The Professional Counselor. He serves as Secretary of the Association for Creativity in Counseling’s Board and as Chair of the Association for Play Therapy’s Foundation Board of Directors. He received his Ph.D., in Counselor Education & Supervision, from The University of Mississippi in 2009. He has been a Pharmacist since 1989, a Mississippi Licensed Professional Counselor since 2004, an Arkansas Licensed Professional Counselor since 2015, Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, and a nationally Approved Clinical Supervisor since 2007. His research interests include neuroscience influences on counseling and the relationship between social empathy and social justice attitudes. He frequently presents on and writes about psychopharmacology and ethical distance supervision.
