Danielle Pester is a doctoral candidate at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in Counselor Education. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and provides counseling services for a school district where she specializes in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Child-Centered Play Therapy. She has worked for two behavioral health workforce training programs funded by the Health Services and Resources Administration where she has supported the development and implementation of trainings on topics related to interdisciplinary and team-based approaches to behavioral healthcare. She is passionate about research as an advocacy resource for vulnerable populations to bring positive change to local communities. Her scholarly interests include diversity issues in counseling, the globalization of counseling, instrument development, and community-engagement scholarship. She was awarded the Multicultural Assessment and Research in Counseling Student Grant by AARC for her dissertation project, The Development and Evaluation of the Intersectional Privilege Screening Inventory. Danielle currently serves as the Editorial Assistant for Counseling Outcome Research and Evaluation and as President for the Coastal-Bend Chapter of the Texas Association for Play Therapy.
