Bridgette is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Registered Play Therapist/Supervisor, who is a past APT International Conference presenter, current vice-chair of APT's Continuing Education & Registration Committee, former member of the APT Inclusion, Diversity, & Equity Awareness (IDEA) Team and 2021 APT Leadership Graduate. Bridgette will be facilitating the workshop on "Who Are You? How to Develop an Identity and a Theoretical Orientation as a Play Therapist" to present at the 2022 APT conference because it has received high praise from past attendees for how helpful the workshop was on how to match one's play therapy style and theoretical orientation to their personality, world view, and personal style. Bridgette has written essays for Play Therapy magazine and was interviewed by NBC News for her expertise in play therapy and interventions for suicidal children. Bridgette provides play therapy supervision and training in Los Angeles, California and has provided play therapy to children, adolescents, and their families from impacted and underserved communities for 25 years in schools, hospitals, and community mental health agencies. Known for her hands-on approach to learning, astute knowledge of how to combine theory with practice, and upbeat presentation style, she is looking forward to presenting at the 2022 APT conference.
